Myrdalshreppur Iceland

Mýrdalshreppur is a municipality in Iceland. It is located in the county of Vestur-Skaftafellssýsla, at the southern tip of the Suðurland region and Iceland. It has an area of 755 square kilometers. Its population is 469 inhabitants, according to the 2011 census, for a density of 0.62 inhabitants per square kilometer. Of its inhabitants, 300 live in the town of Vík í Mýrdal, where the Dyrhólaey lighthouse is also located.
