This is both a blessing and a curse for the inhabitants, and they are well prepared for it and provide a very well-organized tourist infrastructure. Nevertheless, Mallorca can show even other faces when you leave the coastline and take a look at the inner country. Prices fall with each kilometer you move away from the coast, and reach the usual Spanish standards in the center of the island or even some parts of the mountain area. Geographically the island can be divided into three parts. The Serra de Tramuntana rocks extend from south-west to north-east, while the Serra de Llevant stretches along the eastern coast. Between them lies the central plain.

The resort area of Port de Pollença is located on the coast in the direction of Pollença Bay, while the town itself is located inland. The views across the bay from Port de Pollença are breathtaking. The sheltered horseshoe shaped bay is set against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana mountain range. Originally a fishing village, Port de Pollença retains the time old tradition of the evening paseo or stroll. On warm, balmy evenings everyone wanders up and down between the marina where the yachts are moored, past the pavement cafes and along the celebrated Pine Walk. Pollença and its port have everything, wonderful scenery, beautiful sandy beaches and a laid-back friendly atmosphere.

About the destination: Sóller is a town on the island of Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands off the Spanish east coast. Sóller is a town located on the North West coast of Mallorca. It is set in a green valley surrounded by Mallorca's highest mountains. Much of the town is residential and agricultural: it is full of orange, lemon and olive groves. The resort area of Port de Sóller is four kilometres away and is much more tourist oriented. The town has a beautiful square and many of the buildings are of architectural interest. There's a beautiful church in the center of Sóller that was built by one of Gaudí's students. There is a free museum of modern art located at the train station. This has some work by famous artists, notably Joan Miró. Take the tram to the Port de Sóller, the local seaside resort, or simply wander around and look at the beautiful scenery, streets and houses.

About the destination: Deià is a stunningly pretty village in Serra de Tramuntana, on the west coast of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca. The village is known for its literary and musical residents that lived here in the past as well as today. Deia has an idyllic landscape with orange and olive groves on steep cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean. A rugged landscape of forests and olive orchards is the incredible backdrop of Deià. Deià is surrounded by the unique landscapes of Sierra de Tramuntana, and is located only a few kilometres away from other towns like Valldemossa and Sóller. The scenic road connecting Deià and Valldemosa offers excellent views, between olive orchards and the sea. Deia is incredibly beautiful and relaxing.

About the destination: Valldemosa is a beautiful village located 17 km from Palma, on the beautiful Balearic island of Mallorca, in the middle of the valley of Sierra de Tramuntana, around 400 metres above sea level. It’s a picturesque place and part of the village goes up into the mountain slope, creating steep streets and beautiful natural miradors. All the town is surrounded by lush forests, with olive and almond trees that are irrigated by the abundant springs in the area. La Cartuja, the most emblematic monument of this town, is a must see for every visitor. This ancient monastery, has an important historic legacy, as well as accounts from two remarkable visitors: Frederic Chopin and George Sand, are preserved in cloisters, cells, gardens and museums. These memorials include scores, pieces of writing, fittings and correspondence related to their stay in the island, in addition to the "Pleyel" piano. In memory of the outstanding polish composer, concerts are celebrated in the cloister and in the gardens of the Carthusian Monastery during the summer. From Valldemossa, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sierra Tramuntana, or go to the nearby towns of Deià, Sóller, Banyalbufar, or Santa Maria del Camí.

It also offers plenty of sea-related activities. It is provided with one of the best sport ports of the Balearic Islands, the Sailing Club of Andratx, with 500 berths for sport and leisure boats. The vitality of Puerto de Andratx is the seafront promenade, where the harbour and the fish market of “La Lonja”, are located witness the current fishing activity and where fresh fish can be bought in the afternoon. Shops and restaurants with pleasant terraces facing the seaside. you can also find the lighthouse and the Sailing Club, passing through by the small torrent of “Es Saluet”. Puerto has a variety of patrimonial elements of great historical and architectural interest. One side, the watchtowers that can be found in “La Mola” or the tower on Rodríguez Acosta street, which now is a private house. On the other side, the religious architecture is well represented by the church of “Nuestra Señora del Carmen”. Puerto de Andratx has an exclusive hotel infrastructure and some of the finest and more important restaurants of the island. At night it becomes one of the most lively areas in the region. From Port d’Andratx you can reach “la Mola”, where you can enjoy a magnificent sunset with the Dragonera island on the horizon.
